Bandipur was a stop between India-Tibet trade route originally settled by Magars. The traders ‘Newar’ of Kathmandu and Bhaktapur used this hilltop village and set up settlements here. Bandipur acted as an ideal place for trading. Tibetans would came with animal furs, musk pods, mountain herbs whereas kerosene, salts, glassware came from India. The hill top village was transformed to busiest trading hub and acted as a funneling point. But after construction of Kathmandu-Pokhara, the Pokhara became edge over Bandipur. However, Bandipur was well grew in wealth and people were well settled, the locality set up as a cultural and classic town where hotels, shops, café were built. The town was still able to hold its importance and is still standing as a great place to witness cultural and historical towns of Newar settlements. Pokhara is a beautiful city which awaits us a great relaxation time. Pokhara is the city of natural wonders. Pokhara filled with spectacular views of mountains such as Mt. fishtail (Machhapuchhre), Annapurna, Green hills, overlooking Peace Gumba and the Phewa Taal Lake. Sarangkot allows you to spectate marvelous vistas of mountain ranges of Annapurna, Machhapuchhre etc. Boating in Phewa Taal, visiting International Mountain Museum, Peace Gumba are the things to do in Pokhara.
